Kelvin Mkwapatira is the Manager of the WoodTech Unit with a background in the wood furniture production. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Education from the University of Malawi (2015–2020) and has over 4 years of practical experience in the manufacturing of wood furniture products. While working in his private furniture production company, he gained a special focus that allows him to handle multiple tasks and spearheads the growth of unit in a practical and results-oriented manner. He focuses on managing woodworking technologies, production processes, and supporting teams to meet unit goals effectively. He has working knowledge of woodworking machinery and software, including CAD/CAM systems, and experience in material selection for furniture production, wood processing, and finishing techniques. He has been involved in activities related to cost control and inventory management, helping improve the day-to-day operations in furniture production. He is a team player who is eager to learn new trends in the wood manufacturing sector.
